My daughter has been attending Martin since Kindergarten. All her teachers have been wonderful. When she was in the 1st gr. she was diagnosed with ADHD and medicated. The teachers, parapros and conselors have been working with us on a constant basis to make sure my daughter is on track with the rest of the students. We also meet on a quartly basis to go over her progress. I have noticed a significant change in her test score for the better. I applaud the hard work that the teachers do. My daughter is in the 4th grade now and she actually looks forward to going to school in the morning. Her reading was the biggest problem and now she loves to read at leisure. I have nothing but praise about Martin Elementary.. Thanks

I have had at least one student in Martin for going on 6 years now. I am happy with the school and the opportunities they provide to my daughters- who take full advantage of the broad range. My only concern is based on gifted students- while the SEARCH program is great, Martin seems to educate to the lowest common denominator as a whole. I feel like my daughters are spending their time helping students who are not as academically advanced just to raise test score numbers. I also do not like that 5th graders are not changing classes and have very little homework. I feel as if they are not being totally prepared for the next phase in learning. Overall, Martin is a good school- i just wish there were more challenging academics for advanced students.

All of my children attend Martin and it has been excellant academicly, their test scores have risen each year with a huge jump in the math scores last year school wide. There are many after school programs such as clubs, afterschool tutoring, buddy program. Our Odyssey of the Mind team just won first in Georgia and is going to World competition in Boulder, Co. The faculty and staff spend many hours working with our children and making sure their elementary experience is a great learning experience and a wonderful, fun time. The school has a student council, and PTO that are very active. There are school dances, dramas, choral programs, art shows, festivals, various ball teams, even Bingo night. There is just so much to do and for the students to be involved with the school. Martin is a great school building great children and minds.
