The curriculum was good. However, my daughter had a really tough time socially with the local children. The class sizes were the biggest we've ever experienced. Academically, she did fine but the social issues were very painful for everyone involved.

I miss this school. It open a lot of doors not just in religious views, but being open in general. It offered more than I expected, now that I think about it.

I have 2 children who have attended St. Michael's School. They both absolutely love SMS. The curiculum is intense and challenges students in all grades. The preschool program is top notch. My daughter went from only occasionally recognizing the ABC's to recognizing all letters, writing all letters, numbers up to 30, etc in 1 year. I disagree with the reviewer discussing learning disabilities. Not all private schools are equipped to handle special education, it depends upon the child, the extent of the learning disability, and type of disability. SMS has been very open to having my child with special needs. His teachers have been open to my suggestions of techniques that work best for him. We have not had any problems with the other students, teachers, or administrators in regards to him. SMS has extras that other schools in area do not: bus to Wahiawa/post, aftercare, field trips, & very affordable.

My child attended St Michaels preschool at 2 yrs of age, the cirriculum, I thought it was a bit extreme or too challenging for any 2,3,or 4 yr old. But I was truly amazed at how quickly she grasped everything. I am proud to say she finished Kindergarten at 5 with 1st honors. Koodos to St Michaels and staff for an exceptional learning experience for my daugther and I. We are sad to leave, but thats the life of a military family.
