I have 3 children in the Richmond School System. All with special needs so they aren't just 'normal' kids. With few exceptions I have found the teachers at Marcia-Buker and Richmond Jr/Sr High School to be individuals who care for for the children and how they are learning. Small class sizes. Great athletic program (especially soccer). Our DI (Destination Imagination) Teams regularly make the state and sometimes international levels. Kind of light on other extra-curricular activities but I thing that nearly all districts are having problems with this due to budget cuts. One thing that they lack is a gifted program. But again.. budget cuts have required cutting them from most schools. Special Ed is required. Gifted programs are not. With several regional schools in the process of being unaccredited Richmond's accreditation remains intact.

I have one student who graduated from RHS and one who currently attends. Small, friendly atmoshere-Very good school
