Roosevelt has gone through many changes in the past few years. It is currently a pre k-6th grade school with a total enrollment of about 620 students. Most of the old bungalows that took up most of the playground space have been removed and only about 6 remain on the entire campus. All three playgrounds now have new playground equipment (that was mostly purchased by their Parent Group) the buildings have been repainted and murals are being added, the cafeteria has also been redone. The teachers here are very dedicated to the students and to making Roosevelt the best it can be. Kinder- 3rd have 20 or less students per classroom and the kindergarten classes are full day. Roosevelt has managed to build a sense of community and belonging for students, staff and parents.
My children recently started going to this school to be honest i dont like the school my chilldren were transfered from another school to this school. to start off one of the teacher that was assigned for my child is always absent on Monday's and Friday's that is not good!! then they are changing my child from his class because apparently his test scores were too high and he belonged in another class that will met his requirements that should have been done since before he started school not 1 month after. the school's apperance is a total embarrasment is it so ugly everything is old and dirty i went to the bathroom on day in the morning and they were so dirty with no toilet paper (they should have been clean at that time of the day) the water fountains had spider webs. please help our school improve.

Teachers are dedicated and competent professionals! Teachers are highly qualified and care a great deal about the students' academic progress. Teachers teach above and beyond grade level material. All of my children presently attend Roosevelt and I am pleased with their academic progress.

Teachers work very hard and seem to care about the students;conditions are deplorable; lack of restrooms for a highly overcrowded school with an enrollment of over 1,500 students. The campus is very dirty and the grass area is non-existent due to lack of water/maintenance. Some classrooms are very old and in desperate need of repair. My daughter is enrolled in a 2nd grade class with 32 students because L.U.S.D eliminated class-size reduction. Teachers and students face limited resources and terrible conditions.
