This is my first year at this school. So far, teachers are very nice. My daughters teacher is very caring. There is an after school tutoring, and there is also soccer at night. I am very happy at this school.

We just moved into the area, this is my sons first year at Greenwood. So far I like teachers method of teaching. What I would like is the teachers tobe more in communication wiht the parents. We are working parents and times we can't be going to the school to check up. Maybe by letter or e-mail would be nice to keep incommunication with the parents. At my sons previous school I always kept in communication w/his teacher by e-mail. I didn't like having to wait for a back to school night to know whats going on. A little e-mail always helps. Offer other options on how to communicate w/the parents. ANother thing I have to comment is I really don't like their calendar. It is horrible for them to be taking so many breaks through out the year, even if its 2-weeks, that's just horrible to me.

Frustrated with the whole calendar situation. So much effort seems to be going into the 'fight' that our childrens educational needs are being forgotten. The teachers are wonderful. The New vice Principal seems ok The principal is not around much. There is no partnership with the parents. No after school activities for the children. Teachers are great. I would like to see what the PTA is doing. They ask of so much from the kids but what do they ghet in return. A bus that is packed one time a year ? There is definetly room for improvement within the school.

I have had 2 children attend Greenwood, one has moved on to Montebello Intermediate and the other is still at Greenwood. My children have had great teachers. I think that the teachers work hard at making sure that the children are doing well and that they are working to their potential and even higher. When my son left to go to MOI, he was advanced to the GATE program and since then had been part of AVID, I believe that this all comes from an interest from the teachers. Their teachers have had time before and after school for help. wh the new school year started, my son is excited about his new teacher and class. I expect him to be able to be part of GATE by the time he has completed his years at Greenwood.
