I have had been a substitute teacher at Edison School numerous times. I feel most of the children who attend this school are well behaved, however they few who misbehaved were basically rewarded from the principal. I feel the school could be great if the principal stepped up and took charge of the school.
The best thing about Edison school is the teachers. My son has had some fabulous and some not so fabulous teachers the last 3 years. Unfortunately the grounds are run down, the buidling smells awful, and appears very aged. They definately need a major overhaul the the building.
I love edison not only because I work there but, because I went to school there and my kids went and are attending there now. It's like home away from home. A big family!!!
Great ISAT scores. However, this school spends entirely too much time worrying about ISATs and not enough time on properly educating the children. They leave the school knowing very little regarding science, social studies and other subjects.
