My child is will start his ninth year at LPS in September. When he first came to Learning Prep, he was a scared second grader who had been attacked in public school. He is now a confident, well-rounded, happy young man who thrives in his school environment. LPS saved our lives. I will never be able to thank Nancy Rosoff and all of our son's teachers enough. My child found safety and encouragement in this school and we expect him to go on to college in a couple of years. What a gift.
I just grraduated form LPS and I was really sad to leave I had been going to that school for 10 years . I was on the basketball team, SADD ,Student Council and Yearbook. This school helped me so much .I came and I couldnt read but I can and now I am going to school next year. They have a lot of help in reading and math . They also have a lot of great classes like child care .If you looking for a school for kid who nees help check this school help and you will fall in love with it .Like what I did ten years ago
i have been at learing prep school for 9 years now and i am in the 11th grade now. When i was at my old school at martinson elementry academtlly i wasn't doing well at all.But now i am getting the help i need and the staff at lps are very supportive. Also the work study staff are very supportive and really make work experince more easy.Next year is my last year at LPS and i hope to grauate with flying colors and share my story with other kids who have LDs that you can get the help you need to succsed.
My daughter attended Learning prep school from 2nd grade to 9th grade. Although I think the elementary years were her best years there (made huge improvements academically) once in Middle School the staff seemed to focus all their attention on the social aspects of her development. The 'counselors' my daughter were assigned to seemed to create so much drama between peers, etc. Her classes took a back seat and the focus seemed to be on pulling these kids into group counseling sessions. I moved her into our town public high school and she has been doing so much better. She is actually learning again!
