I was a student at WMST a year ago. I graduated in 2008. It would not have been possible without the teachers and administrators there who helped me succeed. I highly recommend this school to any parent searching for a great High school for their child.
I have a daughter who first attended this school when she was in the 9th grade, she is now a senior, and will be atteending college. This is one of the best charter schools in the District Of Columbia. The teachers are very friendly and accesible. The students are very happy and friendly as well, they learn your name and speak to you every time they see you. The curriulum is awesome and my child has learned a lot. I'm glad I made this choice. You should too. Thank you WMST.
I have been associated with WMST for 8 yrs. and it is an amazing learning environment. The faculty and staff are committed to students and the students/parents desire rigorous and competitive educational program and safe environment. Many schools have a selective admission policy ( only take the cream of the crop ) however WMST has an open enrollment ( they take the crop and make cream ) as stated by their principal emeritus, Floyd Gilmore. Drop by and see the wall of college acceptance letters and marvel at the 98% graduation rate of Washington DC s greatest future leaders.
