The AP and advanced classes are impossible to get in because they are limited (ex. only one class for English Comp.--so only fifteen students are allowed in out of 400+). NHS is a joke since teachers just vote for students; some valedictorians can't even get in! It should be like Canfield where everybody gets in if they meet requirements. The music and art departments are amazing, though. The areas that need to be improved are history (most teachers are horrible) and some math teachers. Most of the students are very apathetic towards academics--most only go to near by state schools and have no positive direction in life. Plus, a lot of kids seem to slipping in from Youngstown and Austintown school systems. Overall, I had an average experience, but I would never send my child there..better schools in the area!
