My children have grown by leaps and bounds through the education they receive at Manteno Elementary.

my daughter has been part of the Manteno schools since she went to pre-k here and she is now in 2nd grade and the academic level is outstanding along with teacher involvement. I have been a room mom and a panther mom so I consider myself to be very involved. They offer a great music and art class, and a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Overall I will keep all 3 of my children in the manteno schools for the remainder of the regular education term. I rate this school very high in all areas.

This is a really great school. The faculty and staff work hard. The teachers are really great, but I wish there were more school activities going on. Such as a fun fare, science fare, .....and more school family events. And I wish there was an after-school program.

I go in every Monday and help with the Kindergarten reading group or play word games. Then I eat lunch with my child. I also attend and bring things to all school parties. Since I volunteer only on Mondays I do not burn out. : )

Our school gives us mandatory hours (15) that we must give to the school in one way or the other. It is very easy if you don't mind stuffing envelopes or being a lunch mom. I think they even give working moms the opportunities to work on paperwork.... More »
