Someone who spells "hear" when it should be "here" shouldn't be writing a review about a school!

Most teachers go through the motions of the day and really really don't care. Getting a teacher to spend extra time with a student is a pure struggle. Weak administrators who accept status quo. If you are the child of a teacher or administrator, you will get preferential treatment. Good ole boy network prevails in every area. High school principal is married to the school superintendent. A very mediocre school in every way.

Extracurricular activities are plentiful. But it seems like it is all they care about here and not the academic achievements. Plus not all the teachers help, some do, but not all. Some of the teachers obviously don't like us they don't try to hid that at all. The language here is awful. And phones go off the teachers don't do anything about it. When i leave i will only come back to visit family and friend not to stay and live here.

The extra curricular activities abound for such a small school. Hold on to your cash though because your going to pay for them. The taxes are heavy, the school board likes to spend money. The teachers are young and for the most part inexperienced. The board wants a 'New Trier' type school in this, a bedroom and agricultural community. My kids are doing well hear, but when they graduate, so will I. We will leave immediately. I have also noticed a we/they type attitude hear. The community has exploded with growth, If you were born hear, you are a 'we'. If you moved here, even after 20 years, you are still concidereda 'they'.

Teachers who are firm, tough, yet fair, are mislabeled as, "bullies." This is such a ridiculous and false accusation. I got a tough job but I love my job and I care about the students. People don't have a clue what I do or the challenges... More »

How I handled it varied depending on the circumstances. Teacher bullying is child abuse-proove it 1st! If teacher/pricipal/staff won't stop-go above their heads-Seek help from PTO's,administration, schoolboard, media, even CPS-Child Protective Services.

No one should put up with this. Take it as high as you need to go and follow up everything in writing. Even so far as going to your local paper. School A tolerates bullying and won't help children being victimized. They will listen after that!
