It's great that the principal has dedicated her life to educating children. However, the 'take it or leave it' management style does not fit any educational model. Is this the attitude or leadership that we want to show our children? The principal wants to educate and support our children with minimal to zero collaboration of parents--the same parents who brought the children to this world. I am not looking to take over the school or be in class every single day, just friendly cooperation, direct communication and open discussions. The principal knows how to choose the best teachers, but she somehow has driven some of the best away. The principal has also decided to make changes without much justification, notification or even consideration of the people affected, the teachers, the students and the parents. Before the principal wonders why next year's enrollment is low, she should think about what has changed.
My child loves to go to school-- not only to play but to learn - already much much ahead of other schools k2 level-- very comfortable doing K3 even k4 material -- Despite this fast level of learning --students are not pressured on the contrary enjoy the learning process. I believe this is mostly due to 1) the Dedicated and most wonderfull Principal and her assistant 2) of course to the teachers. I've never seen such a dedicated and a caring Principal. It seems she dedicated her life to help small children in her own way. I can see in her eyes that she loves every single child and cares for them. She is very knowledgable and experienced. She knows how to choose the best teachers and that is why the Spring school has the best teachers. She is normally demanding from the teachers.
The teachers and curriculum are fantastic! The school has a strong multicultural focus, also a plus. Preschool classes are very overcrowded and there is poor communciation between the principal and parents. The principal is the owner, administrator, answers all phone calls and monitors communication with teachers. I would not recommend this school to an incoming preschool parent who values a collaborative relationship with the school.

My son attended the school for 2 years. The teachers were spectacular but many have recently left. The principal treats parents like her students. She does not foster parent-educator relationships. While the education was good. The teachers that are leaving change the experience. The school needs a new principal.
