As a former student at MCHS I must say I had a wonderful high school experience. No, we did not have the highest quality of education but you can not expect to have such high standers in a school of merely 97 students in towns of less than two thousand and another town with less than two hundred. From having such small class sizes the comradery is amazing. The people I graduated with will forever be like family to me and we will all be there for eachother forever. As for the teaching staff, they may not be the best, but they treat you as their own child and care for all of the children and teens that walk through the doors. I may not have the highest ACT scores but I learned more about life and the important things while walking the halls at Meredosia than anywhere else possible.

As a former student I can say that the quality of education is below sub-standard. It is perhaps one of the worst schools in the state. If not the country. I can sleep well a night knowing that my children will never attend this school or any near by. A co-op could be the best thing to ever happed to this school. Maybe the students will recieve a quality education for once.

Our school may not be the best to others but to me we 'rock,' and we shouldn't have to change that. We have an excellent teacher staff that if our school consolidates or anything else it would be a heart break to all of the students that currently go there. I hope it never comes to that but as it looks my class won't have a senior year at MCHS. This really upsets me in many ways. I love this school.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
