Washington Elementary School

I was surprised and saddened to read that two parents felt that hey were not heard and that their kids were not safe. I have an open door policy and enjoy speaking with the many parents who let me know if there is a problem with a teacher's classroom mangement style or with me. I value respect, I enjoy being treatd with respect as well. I hope in the future when there is a situation, the person or persons feel comfortable to make me aware of their concerns in person so that I have an opportunity to handle them on the spot and not through an message posted on Great Schools.

I can't imagine my daughter would get a better education anywhere else. The teachers and programs at Washington are exceptional. This school just keeps getting better every year. Stop by for yourself and see what Washington has to offer.

My son has been here sonce kindergarden and he's in 5th grade now. We've truly had a great experience here the past 5 years and I'm going to be sad to leave when we move on to middle school next year! The teachers and staff really care about our kids as does our new principal, Mrs. Ibarra. I've seen them go out of their way, time and again to keep making this school great. And I've made some great friends with the parents here as well. Our PTA is going strong with more and more parents getting involved and creating a great community experience for everyone. Washington Elementary ROCKS!

Don't get me wrong, Wahsington is still a great school to go to, because of the great teachers and support staff. But lately alot of things have been falling through the cracks, especially discipline. Mr. Torres wake up before this school's already tainted reputation begins to crumble.
