Teachers: 5 stars Principal: 1 star If it weren't for the principal, I'd give this school a 5.

As proud parents, I'm extremely impressed with the whole improvement that the school has since Principal Lovato took office at Encinita school. Test scores have been significantly improved. The children at the school are now taking learning more seriously and they learned to respect one another more. We wish there will be more principal like Mr. Lovato. It was sad to know that Mr. Lovato left Encinita. Mr. Lovato, my son said he will miss you greatly because 'you are a very cool principal he ever had.' And I'm sure that other children and their parents will miss you too!

Encinita School is a very unique diversify, educationl institution. I have never seen a principal do so much for her school. Not only does she carry out her own agenda and duties, but also helps out in the classroom as a substitute when necessary. She also tutors students, meets with parents to work problems out. She is more than willing to do yard duty when it is needed. This is a lot more than I have seen any principal do for their school. She finds solutions for problems. Thank you Ms. Bowers. Unfortunately, the worse criticism comes from those that do the least for the school. The teachers are great, some intergrate foreign languages into their curriculum, my son learned french along with his language arts. Tank you Mr. Boehmer. Encinita, is a great school. Please keep up the great work! Those parents involved are 100% behind you! You are greatly appreciated. We do need parent involvement.

Anything on the weekend is too much. Kids need "family and church" time too! 1 hour a night past the age 10 is fine, 30 minutes or less before.
