Murray Middle School

i am in seventh greade at murray middle school i only have one down fall about this school the guidance system it lacks organization and GUIDANCE!! at that but over all this scool is OK it offers great electives. And the teachers go out of their way to help the students i would recomend this school to anybody that is ART savy.

I'm not a parent but a student that went there for three years. I'm going to high school in august. I love Murray!!! I think it is the best middle school in the district.. the teachers pay a lot of attention to their kids. They have quite a bit of after school activities that will keep you or your kids busy. Parents are pretty much involved. They send newsletters home to keep you updated on things that are going on..... I will miss this school a lot.

Our son has just completed his first year at Murray. He is in the Checkpoint/gifted program. He has enjoyed his year with the GIFTED teachers. As a parent we are so thankful for the opportunity to be part of such an innovative program. Our son has learned through emersion. Making castles,science fair, catapults, i movies, to name just a few..... The teachers are all first rate and know their jobs. Thank you for the forward looking attitude to provide all children with the education that they deserve.

Our son was in the Gifted program 2002-2005. There were 4 teachers on the hall. Two of the teachers are very experienced and good at what they do. One is new and shows promise except that he is influenced by another. The last does not seem to want to be a teacher at all. He called my son names, lost homework, and consistently displayed a cavalier attitude.
