The staff works so hard to give our students the opportunity to achieve whatever goals they have. It's a great facility with great staff and great students.
Four of my children graduated from Salem High (1987-2004). I have also done substitute teaching in all three high schools. I believe PCCS schools offer great educational opportunities. Two of my kids were able to use AP's and dual enrollment to pre-empt one semester of college. Another did some college prep, but concentrated on PCEP's excellent art classes. Another just wanted to graduate--but received enough academics to attend college several years later. Bottom line---PCEP offers a socially-diverse learning community rich in opportunity for students who are able to take advantage of it.

As a parent of 3 Salem grads, I think the park offers the most assimilation to college as you will find. Each student has the opportunity to excel, to find things that excite them, both during and after school. My kids all played sports and the single biggest benefit that carried into college was their time management skills. Practice and games took up time, but the academic performance was king...it taught them well. The park is an opportunity, not a sentence.
