I love the school and love the teachers. My child is thriving and very happy and I couldn't ask for more. She is independent, confident and most important...LOVES school and loves learning! Thank you HOMS teachers.
I had 4 children in Harbour Oaks until we moved. They have all been in Montessori schools since they were 3 years old. Harbour Oaks was a great fit for my children. The teachers were fantastic and fully utilized the Montessori teaching method. It was a very self directed environment with the right amount of teaching and guidance provided. Also, for us it was great that HOMS was a AMS school with AMS certified teachers. It made the transition for the children very easy. They also offered music, spanish and art which was a plus as our previous school did not. Thanks to the school owners and teachers' support we had a seamless transition to another Montessori school in another state. Interestingly, we found out that two of our children were performing above grade level based on the new school requirements. I would highly recommend HOMS.
I had a child at HOMS until recently and plan to send my second child as well. HOMS is a certified AMS school which means that the teachers are certified and the school follows the Montessori method and principles. The feeling of community at this school is one of its best features. The next best feature is the knowledge of teaching/learning theories by the teachers and administrators. So much better than public school that many people think is the 'gold standard'. You will be amazed at what your child can achieve--and enjoy-- in a Montessori environment.
I have 3 children in this school. My oldest has been attending since he was 3yrs old, and is now 8yrs old. We could not be happier with the experience we have had at Harbour Oaks. We had only planned to find a pre-school, but we found a home. My family has had some hard times and through it all, I felt comforted to know that my children would have a safe and happy time with friends who treat them like siblings and teachers who know them well and love them. My children are well beyond their peers in public school and are happy and excited to go to school and work hard. I don't think any parent could ask for more for their children than happiness.
