LHS is an excellent learning enviroment. The teachers and faculty genuinely care for the students education and well being. The have the best JROTC program and instructors you could ask for . The music program is top notch the marching band has been top in state for the last several years which is unheard of for such a small school. My son graduated in 2007 and received a full ride scholarship for a private sc college and was well prepared for college. Thanks LHS for such a great school.

LHS is the best school in the state of SC. We broke national SAT scores last year. Even though we are small, we are still breaking records. All of our athletes not only receive athletic scholarships, but academic as well.

I am actually a student at LHS and I highly recommend it. There are app. 400 or so students, therefore teachers are able to help you one on one. You know everyone at the school pretty much and if a student needs help, the teachers as well as the students are readily available to help. It is easy to make friends and the programs are excellent. We have music, choral and band, art, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, softball, basketball, JROTC (Honor Unit With Distinction!), State/ National Team Winner Cheerleaders, and so on. Parents are very involved in our school activities. If a teacher needs to see a parent, they don't just send a note home with the student, they make sure that they speak directly to the parent. Teachers really care about students and their future!

My child works on a old computer table in his room. He also has everything he needs at his fingertips.
