Wonderful School, Amazing teachers !! We had a wonderful experience at Park Avenue School. My son excelled at so many levels . We still miss the great teachers we came to know at Park , among them , Mrs Frank, Mrs Howard , Mrs Levine , Mrs. Forte. They are all Fantastic! I can't say enough about Mrs Spidel ( principal) . She so accesible , and able to talk to parents and address children's needs at any given time. We miss this great school!!

Parent involvement has dropped significantly due to both parents having to work to pay for taxes to fund the average education that your child will get here. There are no extracurricular activies but there is an after school care program. Teachers and administrators are paid very well but administration tells us that they can't afford a language program. Safety -- school playground has no rubber mats or shredding under the equipment so there are numerous injuries. School administrators say they can't afford it. Teachers are average with a few exceptional ones. Most teachers are young and inexperienced. This is an average school that is expensive to maintain. You're better off in a neighboring town. You'll get more for your dollars.

Everyone in my neighborhood whose children attend or have attended this school thinks it's great. One of the best in the country. State test scorings are 90-100%.The pricipal is warm and friendly to all students. The teachers seem to be the best and most intelligent around. My children love Park Ave. High safety level and proper environment for children.

By doing it in the funnest way possible,we have to make it exciting for them. Maybe reward them after they are done AND DID THERE BEST. Parents must be totally involved.

You shouldn't, have a study hall if they need help. When you learn you need a teacher, students can study on their own time.
