This is a wonderful school and they have wonderful teacher. I have 2 children in this school and both have great grades. Parents are invloved it is a 'family' enviroment and I have participated in field trips for every field trip my children have had.

As a former teacher I observed a lot of wonderful things going on at this school. The team I worked with was excellent. The teachers I had the privilege of working with were wonderful as were the parents. The school has a very neat 'family' environment, and I truly loved working at Bonham. I felt very welcome by the staff and parents. The teachers are very dedicated and friendly. The students are very well prepared and the curriculum is challenging. My grade level had many opportunities for field trips and I never had any problems with getting parents to help. I asked my parents ahead of time and had many that volunteered and helped out. The aides are terrific too. In all, this school is very well managed and the education provided is top notch.

Bonham school is majority hispanic community. As a teacher i could not take field trips. The parent involvement is so scarce that I had no help.

We test kids at the end of the year and beginning. Kids that don't keep up during the summer take a giant step backwards. If our kids do complain about homework, we ask them,"Do you want to work for a company, or own the company?"

No. Let the children have a break. Let their minds focus on being children. They'll have plenty of homework when they go back to school. I would not even consider enforceing summer homework for my children. They need stress free playtime.

Yes. Of course summer is for fun however they can take a brake from homework 2 weeks or so, not the whole summer. If you teach a child the importance of learing they will enjoy the homework even in the summer.
