I think they have good acedemic programs. They do offer extracurricular activites outside of what they have during school hours. The parent involvment could be more. You can count on only so many parents.

Bowie kids are awsome! I don't agree that the whole school is bad. I have three children that have attended at bowie, two that graduated from bowie. I think suzy muyer has done a wonderful job! No school is perfect, thire will be problems. It's all in how you work trough those problems that count. I pray that this will be an outstanding year for james bowie elementary.

You get what your tax dollars pay for! Excellent school for the money in my opinion.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
