Overall CHS is a great school for a rural community. There are opportunities for all types of students, artistic, musical, academic, and good sports coaches and programs too. My experience was a sound well rounded education in all areas. Of course, being a small city, the school can't offer all of the latest and greatest, but the principal does an excellent job bringing in new opportunities, as well as connecting to the students. As for not learning how to write papers as another review said, you must have fallen asleep, because I have not had a problem writing any papers for college. CHS has a remarkable number of good quality teachers who not only care about their jobs, but the students too. If you are looking to move to Columbus, it is mostly a welcoming community, where sometimes (as in most small cities) last names become an issue. Overall, don't worry about

Columbus High School is not a school I would recommend to anyone, the teachers do not properly help the students, and the teachers and staff are not aware of all the problems this school has they shed a blind eye to the problems instead of correcting the problem. A parent should not have to worry all day about their child and whats going on in school, we should be able to feel our kids are safe at school and that is not the case at Columbus High School.

Columbus High School is a fairly good school. The band program is amazing at building communitive and leadership skills. The teachers are really great at giving students at what they need to know in the real world or throughout the college expriences.

The academic programs for a school this size are outstanding. The teachers are top notch and willing to go the extra mile. I have had nothing but good experiences. The band program is excellent, with good parent involvement. Sports programs are open to all kids who are interested.
