Janesville Elementary is beyond exceptional. I am the parent of an 8th grader who has been at JUS nearly his whole education so far and to say that he is prepared for HS is an understatement. The core of this schools education starts with the student and who they are as a person, and it grows from there. Janesville consistently turns out 'hope' who will one day be productive and responsible individuals. The parents who give of their time to help the children are amazing! Go Wildcats!

They do something special at this school, they teach the children ho wthey learn not how that teacher wants to teach that day. everyday is an adventure for our children and they are learning by leaps and bounds. thank you with all my heart to the wonderful teachers that care so much for our children, your the best of the best.

Janesville Unified School has to be the best school in this area. The teachers are very educated and involved in the classroom. Most of them work 6 days or more a week improving their classroom and curriculum. The VIP(Volunteer In-service Program) is set up to give staff and parents the peace of mind when the volunteers are at school. I am proud my boys are at J.U.S!

Janesville is a nice school. The music program is great. There is a great core of very active parents in the PTO and they do a great job supplementing school programs.

Our six-grader Daughter, enjoys the freedom of choice. We allow her to pick and choose as she makes good choices, she has demonstrated responsibility in her decisions. Making (Pizza) & Tomatoes) are Vegetables came from USDA. Freedom of Choice.

No. I prepare my son's lunch just about every day due to his special needs so I know what he is consuming both for him and his class. I want to be aware of all ingredients in all foods/drinks which he is consuming.

If it is to keep allergic kids safe, then no. A strict rule of no peanuts or pb&j should be enough. My child's school had a peanut free table for double insurance. If for "nutritional" reasons, then NO! Since when is pizza a veggie????... More »
