I am troubled by the lack of responsibility of falling test scores that this school seems to portray. After having dealt with the administration it would seem that they believe the parents and the students are somehow confused about what is expected of children at this middle school

This school is fantastic. It has a beautiful landscape with 300 year old Oak Trees in the mountains and top notch students(270) and staff of 9+ quality teachers. It like home sweet home for anyone involved here! Education at its best! Check it out for yourself!

OCI rocks! I was there for three years and enjoyed almost all of all three years. I also had a chance to come back after being out for three years to help with an after-school drama program and it was an unforgettable and amazing experience.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
