I am a graduate of ROWVA. I graduated with a 4.0 and excellently equiped to face the academic challenges I met in college. I have had such confidence in their school district that I decided to move back, so my children could recieve the same quality of learning I did. They have a wonderful array of extracurricular activities for the students. There is probably an activity for what ever your child is interested in. They have a wonderful ag. program and shop program which even has a building trades class where the students actually build projects around the community. Parents are actively involved in the district. The school holds a high reguard for the school board which is composed of parents of current students. The elementary schools welcome parents to their classrooms. The teachers are eager to help your child excell and help you give your child the best chance.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
