I personally believe that PCHS is a wondeful school. I found it hard to transition from a small jr. high to a very large high school, but I caught on quickly. One thing that surprised me most of all was that all the teachers really do care about you, and how you are doing in their class. Also, the extracurricular programs are extraordinary, there are so many different choices! :)

I'm impressed by many things about Pekin High: athe dedicated, caring faculty, the progressive administration, the wide range of course offerings, and amazing extra-curricular programs.

I am not impressed with this high school. Their educational requirements are surprisingly low and the staff don't seem to try as hard as they could. Obviously they have many students to look after but that isn't an excuse to let children struggle through their education. The Drivers Ed program especially is pathetic. But the extra curriculars have earned the school a bit of respect, they have various activities.

It has been my experience that Pekin High offers exceptional educational oppurtunities in preparation for college et life outside of high school. Despite being a larger school the students get the attention that is necessary for a positive high school experience. Our family is proud to have Pekin high student.

Absolutely, because kids are an integral part of their own success. If they are forced into uncomfortable situations they shut down. If they explore their interestes..they blossom. Love not conformity.
