I have loved this school from the time my child started. Parents are invited to be involved and one of the things I love is that they are not more concerned with money then they are my child. My child is not left behind. This school recognizes the importance of the education of African American males and provides me and my child with the support we both need!
I'm not sure who made these comments, but half of the teachers left last year. The administartion cares more about money and how we look to the community than she does about student's needs. There are so many behavior problems in this school, it is not a school I want my child to be in. Something is wrong with charters in MN. There is just enough checks and balances to keep them doing the right thing. Teachers have so much to deal with and yet there is on one there to help them. Students who need to be assessed for special ed. are pushed off as behavior problems or blamed on the teacher when really there are some serious needs. Think twice about heading to this school. Do your research and pop in unannounced to visit rooms (with a staff member of course).

WISE does an excellent job of making learning fun and creating an inviting environment for parents to be involved. The only struggle balancing the needs of the students especially boys.
