This is a fantastic school. The staff is caring and because of the small size,t hey offer lots of field trips and other interesting oppoutunities. I also enjoy the way that they include the 4th graders in 'older ' activities, most schools in the area reserve privileges just for the 5th graders. FANTASTIC SCHOOL!
Small classroom sizes, great teachers ++++, the best cheney has to offer, lots of individual help, and many student teachers
I have witnessed the teachers in action from the viewing areas and in my estimation, the quality of programs exceeds anything I have seen in surrounding schools. The quality of the music and extracurricular activities (particularly the after school ballet class, taught by Mrs. Cicero) to be by far one of the most exceptional of all schools. Their program with students not only involves parents but extends to grandparents and friends. The administration seems to go out of their way to promote involvement in the students learning. The homework sent home by the teachers forces the parents to participate by including a portion that needs to be signed off by an adult in order to be counted. This encourages parent-student interaction as well as allowing the parent to know how well their child is performing. All considered it is an excepeional school.
