Atlantis meets my son's needs, the staff is very professional and their teachers are A+. As parents we felt our son was falling thru the cracks at public school, too many kids with special needs for one teacher was overwhelming, in only a few months he has made great progress and we are now looking at a brighter future for him and the rest of the family.
My daughter attended several schools before attending Atlantis Academy therefore, I feel that I can judge this school properly due to experience, and my experience has been a WONDERFUL ONE! Not only are the extracurricular activities what they should be, but the caring atmosphere in the school is something that unfortunately you do not see now a days. The teachers are dedicated and the right fit for a school. The principal, Mr. Carlos Aballi, is exceptional and one of a kind. Instead of just focusing on the financial side of the school as unfortunately most principals do now a days, he is completely dedicated to the well being of these children. Atlantis Academy is an LD school for K-12 we strive to meet the needs of each child academically and emotionally. Each child is unique and special! We find the best in each child and it shows. The students are happy to learn!
When our daughter started at Atlantis Academy, the public system had her in a classrom sitting by a corner doing nothing. They assumed she was not going to progress. Transferring her to Atlantis Academy was the best decision we had made. In her first two months we saw the improvement that she had made. She is a very dedicated student, eager to learn, and loves school. The Teachers at Atlantis Academy are there for the students. Their dedication is inmense, and they teach those students with such love and care. They have really become someone special in our hearts, and the Administration too. At Atlantis they make you feel like it is your extended family. That is something very important when you have kids that have special needs. Atlantis goes the extra mile to help those kids and make them feel important in a world were discrimation is so big. They bring u[ the goodness and the individuality in all the kids. But again, it is very important to realize that this is possible because of the Dedication and the Love that each and every one of the Staff members have and shows for the students. They really treat them like if they were their own.
