The strongest aspect of this organization's preschool is their ability to offer extracurriculars at no charge - swimming, gymnastics, gym, etc. Both of my children are athletically inclined, in part because of the Y's programs. They have attended programs from Preschool I to Kindergarten Enrichment. I had brought one of my children to a for profit preschool (not in Beverly) and was struck that every time the kids wanted to do something, it seemed to cost money. Not at the Y. The weakest link in this program is, however, the staff turnover. My child has a hard time with transitions and, therefore, I did pause to consider the impact of fairly constant changes in the teacher line up. Indeed, there was a change in the primary teacher during the first week.
