We are very happy thus far with our daughter's experience at Lottie Schmidt. The principal seems to run a well-organized and well-behaved school. Our daughter had a great experience in Kindergarten and so far loves first grade. We are looking forward to her spending the next 5 years at such a well run school. I am quite surprised at the 2 negative reviews as this seems out of character based on our experiences at the school.

My son attended Lottie for 3rd-5th grade. He was a challenge and was instantly labeled as a 'ADHD' child. His fifth grade experience was the worst ever. There were constant missing assignments that were never addressed until right before report cards even after alerting the teacher that we would like to know his missing assignments. Trying to organize him and help him at home was unsuccessful because of lack of school cooperation . I might also add that my son was tested and is not an ADHD. This affected his self esteem and only hurt him.He is now an A, B student in a local charter school 5 years later and we would never recommend Lottie. The teachers are stuck in their ways, and kids like my son get kicked to the curb. Your child is just a number at Anchor Bay, glad we moved schools!!

I have a first grader who has had a wonderful experience and recieves excellent attention even though there is 30 kids in the class. The kindergarten teacher was so interactive with the students she helped get my son the extra help he needed with speech, reading and physical therapy, that had been overlooked at the preschool he attended for two years. The whole staff takes an intrest in the students. I am in the school at least twice a week and see the staff interacting wonderfully with each student. I love the school and would recommend it to everyone.

You get what your tax dollars pay for! Excellent school for the money in my opinion.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
