Great school and great administration. This will be my child's 5th year attending Alcova. We have not had any problems with this school. The teachers are wonderful, along with the principle, who is very hands on and runs a good school. My child loves her school and EVERY teacher that she has had.

Not sure if it was a cruel joke to be redistricted to this school after buying a $400k home a few years ago. Staff is inadequate - this is me being nice. They districted this school to mix higher income and lower income - it doesn't work. I pay far too much in property taxes for a school to be this horrid. It's very urban, if you catch my drift. Better schools exist in downtown Atlanta where the CCRT scandal just took place, that should say it all.

AWESOME SCHOOL!!! I have four children that have attended Alcova. Love it, the principal, teachers, staff, and the parents are very much involved. It's great when the teachers care about your child. I would highly recommend this elementary school...it's the best!

By doing it in the funnest way possible,we have to make it exciting for them. Maybe reward them after they are done AND DID THERE BEST. Parents must be totally involved.

You shouldn't, have a study hall if they need help. When you learn you need a teacher, students can study on their own time.
