Our son has being going to Lakeside for almost 1.5 years now. It took him around 3-4 months to get adjusted to the Montessori system (they don't push students but rather let them pick things up at their own pace), which was quite a contrast from the daycare he was previously at. However, once he was settled in, his learning really 'took off'! We are amazed to see the progress he has made over the last one year. Our son has always been ahead of his peers in his learning and Lakeside Montessori provides him the perfect combination of challenge and individualized attention to help him blossom. We have high hopes from him and are glad that Lakeside Montessori is preparing him well. His class teachers - Ms Gatchalian and Ms Ladha - are especially awesome!
Our two years at Lakeside have been fantastic. My son comes home with beautiful maps of the world colored and labled. After school he proudly hands me books he has written and math projects he's worked on that day. The principal is very nice as well as the rest of the staff. Mrs. Robertson is especially spectacular as a teacher and as a person. We've been to two other Montissori schools and they don't even come close to Lakeside.
Superb Montessorri preschool. Excellent teachers. Strong emphasis on math and reading. Kids were well prepared for elementary school.
Was not satisfied with this school at all. Teachers are not interested in helping new students adjust and my child was not allowed to take the 'work items' that he was interested in. Waste of ur time and money! Your kid will be happier somewhere else where she is allowed to behave like a kid!
