I wrote a review of this school last year and I am back again this year. Nothing has changed, the school has to be forced into helping my child with his disability. The teachers are much too laid back. I agree with the parent that said these teachers are nothing more than overpaid babysitters. Someone really needs to step in and take a much closer look at this school and the problems it has. Removing Dr. Jones as principal would be the perfect first step in making RPE a better school. Very happy the Ms. Dinardo left this year, thats one improvement.

I am not pleased with this school at all. My children transfered from Ficquett and they were great. The teachers here are not as outgoing (as they should be with the younger children) and they also have no other activities to do. The teachers act like they don't care if the kids are happy. I am not the only one that thinks that. I also know that a friend of our transfered to another school and her child has always been at the top of her class and now she is having to play catch up because RP is way behind them. So I don't think that they push the kids enough.

My daughter has been with Rocky Plains since she was 3 (Mar. '08). She is in the Special Needs Pre K class with Ms. Kinney. She has Downs. In only seven months, I have seen a tremendous improvement! She was testing over 12 months in delay and now tests only at an 8 month delay. The team at Rocky Plains is extemely supportive and loving! They are true advocates for the kids. There is not one teacher in that school that does not know my daughter. She is so happy! My kudos go to Ms. Kinney and her team as well as the principal, Dr. Jones. Thanks!

I am from a different state and the school my kids were attending was far more productive.I am very displeased with the kids actions that attend this school as well. They act as if they have no home training...my kids come home and tell me about the horrible things they heard other kids say. The teachers are to laid back as well. I don't think we will be attending this school for much longer.
