We've just enrolled for our fourth year, and couldn't be happier with the education that our son is receiving. The teachers take the Montessori philosophy very seriously, and the children are definitely safe and happy, as well as curious, well mannered and excited about the things they do at school. The environment is nurturing, and Mrs. Jones is a wonderful director. I expect that the 'parent' who gave the school 2 stars visited and ultimately decided not to send his/her child there, which is fine - to each his own, but hardly criteria for giving an informed critique. If it were a day care, the small children wouldn't go home at 11:30 - after dropping off, you pretty much have a couple of hours at home before turning around for pickup - if I'd wanted to pay for daycare, I think I'd take a couple more hours, thanks!
Our daughter attended Farragut Montessori from age 3 through 1st grade, where they do a good job of balancing the philosophy of allowing children to concentrate on and continue working on what they are interested in and inviting them to try new things. The transition to Farragut's public schools was smooth.

It seems more like a daycare than a montessori. The children were safe and happy, but the discipline and educational activities were lacking.
