My child attended 4th through 6th grade here. Many military moves prior to Alaska, she started at DOD overseas, then TX, NC, NY, on base here, then Denali. This school is unmatched in all areas. Outstanding teachers, principal, support staff, parents and children. On a 5 star rating I"ll give them a 6.

Myself and 5 siblings are the product of this little school, it is an excellent example of teaching and training children in all areas. When 6 of you have gone through a school and classify it as the best, you know that a school has what it takes in this world today to teach and provide resources to teach children about living in our world today.Their music program was always awesome and the sliding hill, really was a major part of our days at Denali, i still sing the Denali school song to myself, it brings back the best of memories. If the staff is anything like when we all went there, you have the best. Have been impressed with my talks with Tim Doran, the principal.Denali; We're proud of you!!

Our six-grader Daughter, enjoys the freedom of choice. We allow her to pick and choose as she makes good choices, she has demonstrated responsibility in her decisions. Making (Pizza) & Tomatoes) are Vegetables came from USDA. Freedom of Choice.

No. I prepare my son's lunch just about every day due to his special needs so I know what he is consuming both for him and his class. I want to be aware of all ingredients in all foods/drinks which he is consuming.

If it is to keep allergic kids safe, then no. A strict rule of no peanuts or pb&j should be enough. My child's school had a peanut free table for double insurance. If for "nutritional" reasons, then NO! Since when is pizza a veggie????... More »
