This is my childs first year of attending this school. I find that she is not only able to maintain an a average, but also come home from school everyday with a huge grin on her face. I am satisfied knowing that she is making new friends. After meeting her teachers, I know that she will not only continue to make good grades, but also face new challenges in her studies. Seeing her happy everyday, I know that she is in good hands.

Currently my daughter attends TMS and we have been just as happy as we were when our son attended. Is everything perfect, NO, BUT when is anything perfect. I agree about communication but this year's PTA is working on it. I found that the more involved I am the more I know what is happening in the school.

I totally agree. Tucker Middle School is horrible. Especially when it comes to parent to faculty communication. They rarely respond to Parent inquiries via phone or email. They are there just for a job, the Teachers in team 6S do not care about the students. They allow children to argue and fight. They have poor grading skills so be sure to watch them if you allow your child to go there as they often make mistakes. My child will not be going back to this ghetto school.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
