i think that the elkins school system as a whole is very positive and shound. I dont however think the high school math department is..This is the weakest link! I feel that the high school math teachers do not give their all to make sure these kids understand and prepare them for college. I do think that the atmoshpere of the school and the bond with the kids is very strong.

i am a former student of elkins high school. And some of the teachers are great but overall i hated it. If i didnt understand something they didnt even try to work with me. The best teachers they have are miss.smith, miss.hutchins, mr.hess and thats it.

I am an alum of Elkins High School. I like how the teachers have prepared my son for college, staying after school, and after class. My son looks forward to school everyday and working hard for college

This school did not prepare me for life. The teachers did not go out of their way to help students (with the exception of a few) learn the skills needed to help them get through life. All they cared about was testing testing testing. They wanted the money from the state. That is wrong!

Teachers who are firm, tough, yet fair, are mislabeled as, "bullies." This is such a ridiculous and false accusation. I got a tough job but I love my job and I care about the students. People don't have a clue what I do or the challenges... More »

How I handled it varied depending on the circumstances. Teacher bullying is child abuse-proove it 1st! If teacher/pricipal/staff won't stop-go above their heads-Seek help from PTO's,administration, schoolboard, media, even CPS-Child Protective Services.

No one should put up with this. Take it as high as you need to go and follow up everything in writing. Even so far as going to your local paper. School A tolerates bullying and won't help children being victimized. They will listen after that!
