I would have to agree with everyone that has posted a review. My son was new to the school coming from another state into 4th grade. I have noticed him more sociable, more friends, happier, and he is still doing good in school, straight A's and was asked to be a security guard going into 5th grade. You wouldn't of known he was going through his parents being divorced.

I loved Yake too, but my children are at Riverview Schools now (school of choice) this year. Brownstown Middle School is scary!

My boys absolutely love this school! They wake up every morning ready to go ... which says a lot to me as a parent.

We love Yake Elementary - the staff and parents are the best. Our second child attends now and we love it as much now as we did when our first child attended. We wouldn't choose any other school.

You get what your tax dollars pay for! Excellent school for the money in my opinion.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
