West is the best elementary school because it always puts our kids first! We have a fantastic leader in our principal and the best teaching staff and a loving PTO! We have struggled with school closing and budget cuts. I have 3 children who have all attended West and I am so proud of our school and the education, love and support they ccontinue to receive from this wonderful staff. I have an Autistic son who attended West for 5 years and now is starting a new school. For the first time Liam is going to school aide/para free and is riding the general education bus! We are so proud of him! This is all largely due to the love, dedication and support we received from the incredible staff at West Elementary! Together, during Liam's 5 years, the staff (with direct help and participation from our wonderful principal, Michael Sturm), we learned together, cried together and laughed together. We became a family. I am forever grateful for all the continued love, support and dedication of this fabulous school! This deserve to win this contest!!

The teachers are so sincere at West. They truly love our (my) kids! I love our principal. He has creative ways to make our kids feel welcomed, feel special, feel cared for! He dresses up as "zero the hero" to encourage positive behavior and get a few smiles and hugs too. He is the very best! We have a great support system of teachers, parents & kids at West Elementary. I wouldn't send my kids any where else!

I attended West and so do my kids and I would have nothing else! The principal, Mr. Sturm, is the absolute best and the teachers care so much for the kids! I highly recommend West!
