I am very involved with the Ferdinand Boys and find my involvement helps contribute to their success as I have seen of the Las Plumas Staff and Parental(role model) involvement.

Las Plumas High School is one of many high schools in California that are dealing with less than adequate funding for the school's needs. With that said, LP has an amazing staff that really care about what the students need to achieve in school. There are many programs for enrichment and experience, as well as tutoring and remedial support. The area has many issues facing the population that the school serves, and there are constantly challenges, but the individuals that are there everyday are working to create a positive climate for all staff, students, and visitors. Education is a very challenging field for political, economic, and societal reasons. It is something that all members of the community need to participate in and take ownership for to have success. Teachers can't succeed without strong support from parents, administration, community members and students!
