I'm sorry, who are you??? I'm a student of that school and am doing better... because of that school and it's teachers... than I ever thought I ever could. The teachers there actually cared and because of that I am doing very well. I'm a Quality Assurance Engineer at a major nation-wide government software agency... the teachers there cared when others didn't. I'm not rating the school, I'm rating the teachers that were there... They saved me... showed me what could be and what I was made of... I was actually 'a bad kid' and they persevered... Mrs. Castleberry taught me so much, including self-esteem, and really wish I could talk to her again.
This school is complete with insufficiently educated teachers, a very poor overall curriculum, a school which plays down the curriculum to the lowest common denomiator and whose student counceling services are less well prepared than the parents own research. They make much higher claims about themselves, but I can't understand why.
As a parent I have watched this school go down hill over the years. They direguard students rights, have teachers who don't even know how to use computers, and a principal who is always looking at the negitive and not presenting positive help for the students. I am sad there are no alternitives without going to a private school. There ar few activities for students and little parent involvement.
I am a 2003 grad from this school and I would like to say that I liked it. The school may be small, but that made it more comfortable to me. Everyone knew each other well, the teachers took time to get to know you and it was safe. Teachers like Mr. Trahan, Mrs. Castleberry, Mrs. Epley, and Mrs. Reminar made it better because we did more than read and 'busy work'. I wasn't in sports, but it was a big deal. Teachers made sure that students understood that there was more than basketball and such. Me and my friends agree, if we could go back we would because it was so much fun.
