We started in NLA in Aug. and our son is in Kindergarden. The Principal is super passionate about providing a great education for children and I find him to be an inspirational figure. My son's teacher is Ms. Surrency and I was initially worried that she was maybe a bit inexperienced since she looked pretty young but, after meeting with her 2 times to discuss my son's progress I learned that she is an amazing teacher - someone who really understands childhood development and she is absolutely fantastic. We feel very fortunate to have such a great school for our son. We think we would be very, very hard pressed to find a teacher of Ms. Surrency's caliber - even in a very expensive private school. On the negative - the Chinese program is only about 20 minutes a day and your child will not learn Mandarine at that rate...

This is the first year of my daughter in this school but we really happy with NLA ; in our home we speak spanish and to have our dauther the opportunity to learn another language as chinese is wonderful. You have be part all of this process they send a lot homework (Wich is fine for US ) but you need to be very dedicated. We are sooo happy !!!

My child is going to NLAE since Kindergarten, currently in second grade; I am very pleased with the school, Mr. Forward is the most committed Principal I have seen since my oldest child (15yrs currently attending HS) was going to Woodland E. a Charter School in Dunwoody many years ago. The teachers are great, the environment is friendly and the sense of responsibility and respect flows in the school, not everything is perfect or easy but it makes a great difference to see my child growing respecting authority and learning not only Karate but a foreign language, we speak Spanish at home and he also learning Chinese makes this school the best choice for my family. As parents we are willing to wake up earlier to drop our child at school and preparing lunch-sacks each day, it's worth it and we feel is the best choice in pro of a better education.
