Unless your child wants to be involved in football in some way, shape or form- on the team, in the band, cheering or dancing- this is not a great place to get an education. Academic possibilities are very limited beyond the basics and unless your child is in AP classes it will be hard for them to succeed at competitive universities.
My son is a special needs child and Katy ISD has been so very supportive in helping my son. I can't imagine a better place for him to attend and have his needs met so professionally & timely.

I went to Katy for all four years of highschool & it was a really great experience. People can say that it is only football based but that is entirely not true. Yes, football is a very successful program for the Tigers but it is only one component. Katy also has great academic, & arts programs in addition to great sports teams. It is a very comfortable environment with a social group for any personality type. I did all AP courses, graduated with a 3.9 & wasn't even top 10% which shows the academic integrity of the campus. When I went to college, I was surprised by how unprepared many other students seemed to be... did their highschools not prepare them for a continuing education like Katy did for me? Involvement in Katy was very easy & a great social tool for me. There's something to gain for all students here.
