mossy creek is a wonderful school! they teach wonderfully and they put it into materials to where the kids understand it!! The teachers are very nice!!! Go Gators<
I have a child at Mossy Creek Middle School and I feel that the staff there doesn't give a hoot about its students. A child who truly needs and deserves help is denied that help. It is easier to give up and push the child away (contant negative remarks; some personal)then to get down on the childs level and really see what this child needs to suceed. Two years there and we have had enough.
I am a substitute teacher and as far as I'm concerned Mossy Creek is among the best two or three middle schools in Houston County. The students are quiet, respectful, and mostly understand why they are in school. They, and especially those involved in sports, are subjected to very high standards of conduct and learning. If you don't believe this, visit Mossy Creek one day and then go visit other Middle and High schools in the county. You will be impressed. I know other schools have some of the same goals (I have two kids at Huntington Middle which is one of the other top schools), but at Mossy Creek more parents work with the teachers and staff in fulfilling these expectations. To say that Mossy Creek Middle does not provide a proper learning environment is just plain wrong.
I don't think Mossy Creek Middle School is a very well operated school.The teachers do not give the children a proper learning environment,which is the main key to providing a good school.I believe they also need to work on providing for the students.Their supplies might be new but in short stock.
