My children has attended this school for two years. I am very concerned as the teachers do not communicate often enough with parents about their childs grades. The teachers do not return telephone calls nor do they answer emails in a timely fashion.

There are too many female teachers. The principal and one of the assistant principal's are female. There is a dire need for more male role models at the school. The school mainly focuses on discipline. I felt that the main focus should be learning the basics of academics so that the students could comfortably move from one grade level to the next before graduating and entering middle school. This school term focused mainly on school uniforms which is needed for middle and high school students who are into designer clothing. Many of the teachers were non-motivating and ineffective to the students because they were non-motivated. My grandson was barely promoted to his next level. Now he is failing early on.
My kindergartner and 2nd grader have been enrolled for 2 days. I have already felt the need to schedule a conference. Neither teacher invited me in to see the classroom's nor did they request my name. My girls transferred due to us purchasing a new home . So far I am less then pleased I hope that things turn around quickly or we will be requesting a special transfer back to our original district. Also the work seems to advanced for the grade level. What kindergartner knows how to write a sentence with a list of sight words... Do kindergartners know how to read ? The 2nd grader has been left to write her own homework instructions on paper... So I guess when she wrote 'Spell Word for Home Word' no one thought nothing was wrong with that but me and my husband... No homework tonight I guess.....
