Chandler Elementary is very comparable to other schools in this district. If you are interested in a 4A district Kilgore is the way to go. The teachers are great, curriculum is equal to smaller schools as is the student/teacher ratios. I have been very pleased with the Kilgore School District. I come from a 4A district and would consider KISD to be far better than the District I went to for so many years. I am very happy with the education my children are receiving and feel comfortable that they are learning valuable life lessons as well as the knowledge neccessary to go to a good college.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
