I love everything about this school. The principal is very involved with every grade. The office staff knows all of the kidos. I have 2 preschoolers in the special ed program & have been involved with the entire team from 2006 to the present. The special needs staff is the best around. They make a program to help YOUR child not just the same thing for everyone. The school encourages parent involvement always because they know the school is a supplement of what we as parents should already be doing in our homes. Their goal is to equip kidos to hopefully be mainstreamed by kindergarten. However, they work with each child where they are. I can't say enough about each of them including the aides in the rooms. These people love our children and they show it in their actions and passion for them.

My daughter has been in the preschool special ed for over a year ... and they have been terrific! All the teachers, staff and therapists are so caring, as well as excellent at their jobs. I've heard such horrible stories from parents in other Districts about spec ed ... but La Tierra (and hopefully SVUSD) get no complaints from me!

PTA consistently provides school with activities and funding. They go above and beyond! Mrs. Williams is an amazing kindergarten teacher! She always gives 100% encouragement and patience to her class. I have been lucky to have her teach both my kids. Would like to see more after school activities and clubs, and more student recognitions.
