Blue Lake Academy is closing its doors after 15+ years of operation due to the economy resulting in low enrollment. This school has been the best Christian school in Lake County and it is heartbreaking to see it close. The administration, teachers, and staff are excellent in their qualifications and in their practice. They love the Lord and model it daily as they execute an excellent curriculum bringing their unique giftedness to the classroom. Blue Lake families loved and supported each other. It was an extended, close knit family. This school will be missed by all past students, present students, and students that should have had the opportunity to experience Blue Lake. Our school has been Christ to this community and will be dearly remembered and sadly missed.

I am extremely displeased with BLA it used to be a nice and safe environment, but now you couldn't pay me a million dollars to take my child to that school. The preschool is a is not a safe place and the teachers staff are unprofessional, and the children are not their frist priority. i was very unimpressed

When searching for a school for my then preschooler to attend, We were immediately impressed with Blue Lakes academics, values and overall commitment to our child's future. Our expectations have not only been met but exceeded. Our son, now in kindergarten and daughter in Pre-k 3, continue to amaze us daily with their ever expanding knowledge. Wow! It is so nice to know that this school takes a personal interest their students education and their overall growth and development. The faculty and staff really do care, their interest is genuine and heart felt and to me and my family that super-exceeds any sports program. We find comfort in knowing that the values we are instilling at home will be reinforced while at school. It is also comforting to know that are children are getting what we strongly feel is the best education Lake county has to offer. Thank you Blue Lake!

I checked out many schools in the Lake County area and chose BLA. The Teachers are patient and loving, the Staff is welcoming and friendly, and the Director handles all aspects of the school wonderfully. BLA loves Christ and teaches our children that God is love. We love you BLA!

They could be doing much more to earn money by collecting more then just BoxTops & Soup Labels. There are Capri Sun Drink Pouches, Used cell phones, laptops, empty ink/toner cartridges. They should look at TerraCycling.com What is PTA REALLY doing?

It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.
